Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry nurse for a 13-week contract assignment beginning October 12, 2026.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Every third weekend
- Every other holiday
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Clinical Role
You'll provide direct patient care on a med/surg telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and managing a mixed acuity population. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- Specialty-specific competency testing
- COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccines
- Two-step tuberculosis screening (PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test and drug screening
- Background check, education verification, and criminal clearance
- Physical/health statement
What to Expect
Standard onboarding includes credentials verification, system access setup, skills checklist completion, and facility-specific training. All required documentation must be completed prior to start date.
