Medical-Surgical RN – Travel Contract | Wheeling, WV

This 13-week travel assignment places you on an acute care medical-surgical unit managing a diverse general medicine population. The unit operates with telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians and is supported by PCTs.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

Commonly treated diagnoses include CHF, COPD, ia, urosepsis, AKI, cellulitis, cholecystitis, appendicitis, and rule-out cases. RNs are responsible for titrating heparin based on APTT results. Respiratory support includes intermittent BIPAP; no ventilator management required.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekends scheduled as needed (typically every other weekend)
• No standby or call requirement

Unit Structure

• One charge RN on the floor, carrying an assignment
• PCT support available
• Float may be required based on census; travelers float first

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required at submission
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
