ICU Nurse – Night Shift

Position Details

• Specialty: ICU
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Location: Des Moines, IA
• Start Date: November 2, 2026

About the Role

Join the ICU team at the facility to provide skilled, compassionate care to critically ill patients. You'll manage complex cases, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care during night hours.

Requirements

• Current RN license (or appropriate state credential for your role)
• BLS certification
• Specialty-specific competency validation
• Required vaccinations: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella
• 2-step tuberculosis screening (PPD or IGRA)
• Color vision screening
• Physical/health statement
• Criminal background check, education verification, and credentialing clearances
• Willingness to complete facility compliance and onboarding requirements

Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient safety and teamwork. Experience with critical care patients is essential.
