Operating Room (OR) – Surgical Services | Travel RN

Augusta, GA | Days 4x10 (06:30–17:00) | 13-Week Contract

This high-volume OR position supports a busy surgical service with a strong focus on robotics, total joint replacement, and complex neuro/spine cases. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of OR experience, prior charge experience, and the ability to both scrub and circulate. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.

Service Lines & Procedures:

• Orthopedics: TKA, THA, RTKA, RTHA, TSA, TAA; ORIF (hip, wrist, patella); ACL reconstruction; arthroscopy; anterior and posterior total hips
• Robotic Surgery (General, Urology, Colorectal, GYN, Thoracic): Radical prostatectomy, low anterior resection, lung lobectomy, mediastinal mass excision, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair
• Neuro/Spine: Craniotomy for brain neoplasm, laminectomy, kyphoplasty, cervical/lumbar/thoracic fusions
• Urology: TURP, cystolitholapaxy, aquablation, ureteroscopy with laser
• *Note: OH and vascular specialties are not part of this assignment*

Scheduling & Call:

• 4x10-hour day shifts; 16-room suite averaging 35 cases daily
• 2–3 weekend shifts per 8-week period (in-house or on-call)
• 7–8 call shifts per 8-week period; call windows are 7 p.m.–7 a.m. or 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
• 2–3 weekday night call shifts per 8-week period
• Max RTO: 7 days; all RTO must be confirmed at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required per standard rotation

Requirements:

• Active GA RN or Compact license at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and CNOR required
• Scrub and circulate competency required
• Travel experience required
• Scrubs provided by facility
