Cardiac Catheterization Lab – Travel Position
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work in a high-acuity interventional cardiology setting supporting coronary PCI and structural heart procedures.
Schedule & Expectations
- 4 x 9-hour shifts, days, 0700 start
- 36 hours/week guaranteed
- 10–12 call shifts per month, including every 3rd weekend
- Contractor required to work 1–2 of 3 winter holidays (unless unit is closed)
- Start date: November 2, 2026
- Multiple orientation dates available
Required Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 24 months current Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Hands-on expertise with Impella, IABP, and Penumbra equipment
- Proficiency managing vasopressors, vasodilators, and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors
- Active Iowa license (or compact/multistate)
- ACLS and BLS (AHA) current
- Professional reference from supervisor/charge nurse within past 24 months
- Valid driver's license
Clinical Scope
You'll care for patients undergoing coronary interventions and structural heart procedures, managing complex hemodynamic support and vasoactive medications in a fast-paced, specialized environment. First-time travelers with solid cath lab background are welcome.
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Note: Must live at least 50 miles from facility.
