Medical Surgical/Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical Surgical/Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week night shift contract. You'll work 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) caring for patients on a medical/surgical telemetry unit.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of permanent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience
- Current Ohio nursing license or valid Compact state license (in hand at time of submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHHS preferred
- One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from the past 12 months; Charge RN references accepted)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Nicotine-free (unless exempt as Nurse or CST)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen required
What to Expect
During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition assessment and safeMedicate evaluation (2 attempts maximum to pass). Pre-start modules average 6–15 hours and cover facility-specific competencies.
Contract Details
- Start date: November 13, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Extensions available with facility approval (up to 18 months continuous; 6-month break required thereafter)
Note
No open legal cases or license hits. Background check completion is required within 48 hours of contract signing. All time-off requests must be discussed and finalized during your interview.
