Speech Language Pathologist – Dysphagia Specialist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the acute care team. You'll provide comprehensive dysphagia screening and management for adult patients, including performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies and clinical swallow evaluations.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Start date: October 14, 2026
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct acute care adult dysphagia screening and assessment
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- Evaluate and manage patients with swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Document findings and treatment plans per facility protocol
Required Credentials & Vaccinations
- Current Speech Language Pathology license (as applicable by state)
- MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, and Influenza vaccination
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/QuantiFERON-TB Gold or T-SPOT)
- Fit test and Health Statement
- Driver's License/State ID
- EPLS certification
- Criminal background clearance
- Education and employment verification
