Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse for a day shift role in a busy interventional cardiology program. You'll provide direct patient care and monitoring in the recovery phase of complex cardiac procedures in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• On-call: 1–2 nights per week
• Weekend coverage: 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks
• No floating required
• Self-scheduling model

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (must be in hand at submission; no pending or temporary licenses)
• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience
• 1+ year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Flu vaccination required during flu season

Clinical Scope

You'll manage recovery and post-procedure care for patients undergoing left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and electrophysiology (EP) procedures including pacemaker, BiV, AICD, and Cryo placements. The unit serves a daily census of 12 patients and collaborates closely with physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.

Submission Requirements

• Two supervisor-level references from employment within the past 12 months (required at time of application)
• Complete background check with no open or pending issues
• Maximum 10 days RTO; none permitted during first two weeks
