Catheterization Lab Technician

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician for a 13-week contract in the interventional cardiology department. You'll work in a high-volume cath lab managing 4–7 cases per day in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 – 19:00)
• Weekends: Required
• On-call: Yes, 1 night per week
• No scheduling requests accommodated

Clinical Scope

You'll assist with a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures including:

• Left and right heart catheterizations
• Coronary angiograms
• Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including high-risk cases
• Thrombectomies
• Temporary and permanent pacemaker and AICD insertions
• Pericardiocentesis

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years as a Cath Lab Tech
• Proficiency with Impella, Rotablator, and IABP
• BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R), and Fluoroscopy certification
• Active California license required at time of submission
• Rhythm interpretation and vital sign monitoring
• Sterile technique and equipment maintenance
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted

Submission Requirements

• Two supervisory or higher references (from within the past 1 year) required at submission
• No charge nurse references
• Flu vaccination required during flu season
• All scheduling must be confirmed at time of application; no modifications permitted

Travel experience and clinical flexibility are essential for this assignment.
