Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. This is a full-time position working 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM shifts.
About the Unit
You'll work in a high-volume perinatal service delivering comprehensive maternal and neonatal care. The unit includes labor/delivery/recovery suites, cesarean operating rooms, , mother-baby couplet care, and antepartum monitoring. With 24-hour in-house attending physician coverage, anesthesia, and NICU support, you'll have immediate access to interdisciplinary consultation. The facility operates a perinatal transport program and serves as an academic teaching service alongside private obstetric practices.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license (Texas)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (accredited program)
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (American Academy of Pediatrics)
- Advanced Life Support certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of perinatal clinical experience
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Start date: September 27, 2026
