Outpatient Infusion Nurse — Burlington, MA
13-Week Contract | 10-Hour Days | 4x Weekly
This role is based in an ambulatory infusion center serving adult patients with hematologic, oncologic, and medical conditions requiring outpatient infusion services. The unit operates with 25 infusion chairs and sees a high patient volume daily, with each nurse managing 2–3 chairs per shift.
Schedule & Contract Details
- 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week
- Every 3rd Saturday required
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
- 1-week orientation
- Time-off requests not submitted at the time of submission will not be approved
Clinical Responsibilities
- Chemotherapy and medical infusion administration
- Blood transfusions
- Phlebotomy and peripheral IV insertion
- Accessing and deaccessing implanted vascular access devices (IVADs)
- PICC line management
- Use of infusion pumps and CADD pumps for home infusion therapy
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience
- ONS chemotherapy provider card (required)
- BLS — American Heart Association (required)
- Experience with IVADs, PICC lines, and peripheral IV insertion
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred

- Any color scrubs
- Floating to a nearby location is possible but rare; float order is based on date of last float
- APP coverage is provided through an attached hematology/oncology clinic
- Candidates must have been separated from the BILH system for 6+ months and be in good standing to be considered
