Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Belton, MO

4 x 12-Hour Days | 07:00–19:00 | 13-Week Contract

This community hospital Med-Surg Telemetry unit offers a collaborative, well-supported environment with daily multidisciplinary rounds and on-unit access to case management and PT/OT/ST services.

Unit & Schedule Details

  • Day shift: 07:00–19:00
  • 48 hours guaranteed per week
  • 3 weekend shifts per month
  • No call requirements
  • Block scheduling available for travelers
  • Target start: December 14

Clinical Scope

The unit manages general medical-surgical and telemetry patients. Common procedures include EKG monitoring, echocardiography, TEE, EEG, colonoscopy prep/recovery, general post-surgical care, and wound vac management.

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Dress Code

  • RN/LPN: Grey scrubs
  • PCT/CNA: Navy scrubs

Travelers receive a thorough orientation to unit policies and procedures. The environment is team-oriented with opportunities to resource, precept, and work alongside students. Providers are accessible and collaborative, and care coordination happens through structured daily multidisciplinary rounds.
