Med-Surg / Orthopedics & Surgical Specialty — Night Shift | Overland Park, KS

This fast-paced med-surg unit focuses on orthopedic and complex surgical patients, including post-operative care for total joint replacements, complex spine and neurosurgical cases, and general surgery. The team is highly collaborative and thrives in a high-acuity, high-volume environment.

Schedule & Contract

• 4 x 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00)
• 48 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week contract
• Target start: December 14

Clinical Details

• Patient population: post-surgical orthopedic, spine, neuro, and general surgery
• Float requirements: Med/Tele and Surgical Specialty floors
• Weekend rotation: every 3rd weekend; nights may fall Friday, Saturday, or Sunday

Required Certifications

• BLS (required)
• ACLS or PALS (preferred)
• Basic Dysrhythmia class (preferred)

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrub top and bottom; black scrub bottoms also acceptable

Ideal Candidate

• Strong team-player mentality
• Comfortable in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Able to manage a varied post-op patient load with support staff on shift
