Registered Nurse

RN – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation | Night Shift | Lewiston, ME

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: November 2, 2026

This position supports multiple units within a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. RNs may float between units based on census and staffing needs.

Unit Overview:

• Alzheimer's/Dementia Unit: Provides specialized, person-centered care for residents with memory-related conditions. RNs utilize both verbal and non-verbal communication strategies and are skilled in managing the behavioral expressions common to this population in a home-like environment.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: Short-term, skilled nursing and rehab services for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other acute conditions. Nursing responsibilities include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• Long-Term Care Unit: Provides ongoing care for residents requiring permanent placement in a supportive, home-like environment.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Valid Maine RN license or compact RN license (candidates with licensure encumbrances will not be considered)
• 1–3 years of RN experience preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Notes:

• Orientation includes up to 16 hours of unpaid time
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per contract period
• Flexibility to float to other units is required
