Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to develop and deliver individualized treatment plans for residents across swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders. You'll work to improve patients' functional abilities, reduce aspiration risk, and enhance both expressive and receptive communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans aligned with each resident's goals and tolerance
- Guide the delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with the care team to support resident progress
- Maintain and manage an active caseload using available referrals and treatment opportunities
- Communicate proactively with facility leadership regarding any barriers to care delivery
Position Details
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- Location: Childress, TX
- On-Call: None
- Weekends: Not required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of SLP clinical experience (required)
- Valid Texas state license (required; please have documentation ready)
