Position Overview
The facility seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to develop and deliver treatment plans focused on improving swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities for residents. You'll work collaboratively to decrease aspiration risk and help patients become better understood while improving their comprehension of others.
Responsibilities
- Create individualized treatment plans addressing communication, swallowing, and cognitive needs
- Deliver speech language pathology and audiology services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Lead and guide the clinical team in service delivery aligned with facility policies and procedures
- Build and manage your caseload using available patient referrals and treatment opportunities
- Meet facility productivity expectations while maintaining clinical quality
- Communicate barriers to treatment completion to facility leadership
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of SLP experience
- Valid Texas license
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (40 hours/week guaranteed)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- On-Call: None
- Weekend Coverage: None
Guaranteed hours apply when you remain onsite and available but the facility cannot provide sufficient patient volume. You're expected to proactively reschedule missed or shortened sessions when clinically appropriate.
