Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

Shift: 18:45–07:15 | Contract: 16 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week | Start Date: October 19, 2026

This is a night shift travel RN opportunity in a high-volume Emergency Department serving a diverse, multicultural community. The ED manages a broad acuity range — from medical presentations and behavioral health holds to complex trauma and stroke cases — and is supported by technicians in cardiac monitoring and internal processing, staff, and unit clerks on both days and nights.

Unit Overview:

• High-volume ED environment with a wide range of acuity levels
• Float within all sections of the ED; no floating outside the department
• Every-other-weekend requirement; block scheduling not available
• Patient experience standards include AIDET communication and active board updates throughout each visit
• Navy scrubs required

Required Certifications (must be obtained prior to submission):

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC
• CPI required by date of hire

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of RN experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an ED setting
• Experience in a high-volume emergency environment strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork orientation with ability to coach peers and adapt in real time
• Flexibility to work all areas within the ED
