PCU / Stepdown

Position Overview

The facility seeks a skilled nurse for a 13-week regional contract supporting Patient Care Units (PCU) and Medical/Surgical units. You'll work nights: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed per week. Every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation.

Clinical Scope

You'll care for diverse patient populations including cardiac, medical, orthopedic, and neurological patients. Core responsibilities include telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation, medication administration, patient assessment, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

Flexibility & Float

This is a regional contract. You may float between PCU and M/S units at multiple locations in the Northern Colorado area as needed to support staffing demands. Flexibility across locations accelerates placement.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months PCU experience (with recent experience within the last 12 months)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA, ARC, or ASHI only)
• Active Colorado nursing license with no restrictions
• Ability to start by October 19, 2026, or within one week thereafter
• Return-to-origin (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days; no RTO during the first week
• Navy scrubs and CO CAPS required
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel nursing experience
