Emergency Department — Travel RN | Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This busy Emergency Department operates around the clock, serving a highly diverse, multicultural community across a wide geographic region. The unit manages high-acuity patients including trauma cases, neurological emergencies, and complex medical presentations, with a strong focus on patient experience and real-time communication.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required; no block scheduling; scheduling must meet department needs
• No floating outside of the ED, but flexibility to float within all sections of the department is required

Contract Details

• Duration: 16 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Required Certifications (must be current prior to submission)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC, CPI (by date of hire)

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Prior experience in a high-volume ED with trauma and stroke capabilities strongly preferred
• Teamwork-oriented with the ability to coach peers and adapt to all areas of the ED
• Previous HCA experience a plus

Clinical Environment

• Technicians available for cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and support
• Unit clerks on both days and nights
• Patient experience standards include AIDET framework and consistent board/patient updates
