PICU RN – Denver, CO

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This is a day shift role (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Unit Details

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year current PICU RN experience
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• RN license valid in Colorado

Preferred Experience

• Post-operative cardiac care
• Central line placement and maintenance
• Venous puncture skills

Clinical Scope

Daily responsibilities include:

• Management of respiratory failure (mechanical ventilation, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation)
• Central line and chest tube care
• Conscious sedations
• IV pump management and medication administration
• Close monitoring of critically ill pediatric patients
