Emergency Department Nurse – Rochester, NY

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 16-week contract. This is a high-acuity ED environment serving a diverse patient population with a specialized focus on geriatric emergency care.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 36 hours per week (three 12-hour shifts)
• Rotation: Nights – alternating 3p–3a and 7p–7a
• Flexibility: Rotating or fixed blocked schedule available (Thurs/Fri/Sat, Fri/Sat/Sun, or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• Weekend Commitment: One weekend shift per contracted week, or two weekend shifts every other weekend
• Holidays: Must work at least one holiday during the contract
• On-Call: Not required but highly recommended; averages 2 hours per contracted week (4, 8, 12, or 16-hour blocks available between 7p–7a)

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent emergency nursing experience
• 2 years of U.S. work history (required for international candidates)
• NIH and AHA BLS certifications
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
