Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking a full-time RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work a day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) in a fast-paced 24/7 ER setting, managing patients across 6 treatment rooms with a typical patient-to-nurse ratio of 3–4 patients.

Clinical Scope

You'll perform a range of emergency nursing duties including:

• IV insertion and blood draws
• EKG interpretation and placement
• Foley catheterization
• Orthopedic splinting and wound care
• Patient monitoring and vital sign assessment
• Ventilator and non-invasive respiratory support management

Requirements

• Current RN license (state-specific)
• BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications required
• Previous experience in an emergency department is essential
• Willingness to float within the ED as needed
• Ability to work weekends
