Radiology Technologist

Position Overview

Prepare patients for radiological examinations, explain procedures clearly, and perform diagnostic imaging as ordered by physicians. You'll work in a busy radiology department supporting a range of imaging modalities and patient populations.

Shift & Contract Details

• Schedule: Day shift on weekdays; every third weekend evening shift
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: September 23, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures in clear, understandable terms
• Review imaging orders and confirm patient identity using two identifiers
• Prepare and position patients for examinations using proper technique
• Operate CR, Fluoro, and DR equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform portable radiography in the Emergency Department, Operating Room, PACU, and nursing units
• Assist Radiologists during fluoroscopic and special procedures
• Maintain sterile technique when working in the operating room
• Prepare and administer IV and oral contrast media as needed
• Transfer images to PACS and document patient history, symptoms, and study details
• Coordinate with physicians' offices and nursing staff on scheduling
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety standards
• Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
• Perform clerical tasks and quality assurance duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of accredited Radiological Technology program
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiology
• Current BLS certification (Healthcare Provider)
• One year of radiography experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and medical terminology knowledge
