Occupational Therapist – 13-Week Contract
Location: Marshfield, MO
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible start times with supervisor approval)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
On-Call: Schedule to be determined by the facility
Weekends: No weekend requirement
About the Role
The facility is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. You'll conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations for patients with cognitive and ADL/physical functioning disorders, then develop and implement individualized plans of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations using standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions
- Deliver rehabilitative and skilled treatment, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and assistive device training
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services based on clinical reassessment
- Document all services, treatment minutes, and clinical information in the electronic health record
- Provide counseling and consultation to patients, families, and care team members
- Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students
- Complete required facility trainings and professional development activities
Requirements
- Active Missouri OT license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience (required)
- NBCOT/AOTA compliance and adherence to state practice standards
New graduates with Level II fieldwork experience (not Level I observation only) will be considered.
