Telemetry Nurse – 7 PM–7 AM

Position Overview

This is a 13-week contract position working nights (7 PM–7 AM), every other weekend required.

Clinical Scope

You'll monitor patients on continuous cardiac telemetry and manage intermediate-acuity cardiac cases, including post-catheterization recovery. The unit performs chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures. Your responsibilities include dysrhythmia recognition, chest tube management, and stroke protocol implementation.

Staffing & Support

• Patient care technicians and unit clerks available on day shift
• Agency staff float first; may float to orthopedic or medical-surgical units as needed

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Minimum telemetry experience required
• Knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia training
• Any scrubs except camo
