Pediatric Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a pediatric registered nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in the pediatrics and oncology unit. This combined unit serves pediatric patients across general and oncology populations in a busy, collaborative setting.
Unit Details
The unit is always staffed with at least one oncology-certified nurse daily. Patient populations include pediatric medical/surgical patients and pediatric oncology cases. You'll be part of a facility recognized for clinical excellence and nursing distinction.
Shift & Staffing
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekends: 6 weekend shifts required (2 Saturdays included)
- Team Composition: Day shift includes 4 RNs, 1 charge nurse, 1 respiratory therapist, and 1 patient care technician
Requirements
- Current RN license (state appropriate)
- PALS and BLS certifications required
- APHON (pediatric oncology) certification required
- Minimum 1 year pediatric hospital experience
- Detail-oriented, organized approach to patient care
- Willingness to float to PICU and NICU as needed
