About the Role
Join the respiratory services team in a dynamic, high-acuity environment serving adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. You'll manage a diverse patient population across critical care units and floors, providing ventilatory support and non-invasive respiratory therapies. Patient ratios range from 10–25 depending on acuity and unit assignment.
Clinical Scope
- Mechanical ventilation management (adult and pediatric)
- Non-invasive therapies including high-flow oxygen and continuous positive airway pressure
- Transport and emergency respiratory care
- Collaboration with ICU, acute care, and specialty service lines
Requirements
- Must Have:
- North Carolina Respiratory License
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Preferred:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Unit Details
- Float responsibilities across all critical care units and floors
- Weekend commitment: At least 4 shifts per 6-week schedule
- Dress code: Medium gray/pewter scrubs
