Outpatient Pediatric Physical Therapist

Position Overview

The facility's outpatient clinic is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract. You'll work independently in a hospital-based, full-service outpatient setting, primarily with pediatric patients ages infants through adolescents.

Schedule & Duration

• Monday–Friday, 5×8 hours (7:30 AM–6:00 PM window; specific times flexible)
• 13–26 weeks available
• Start: ASAP
• No call or weekend requirements
• No floating required

Clinical Scope

You'll evaluate and treat pediatric patients with developmental delays, torticollis, cerebral palsy, scoliosis, and orthopedic injuries. You'll conduct independent assessments, develop plans of care, provide patient/family education, and manage discharge planning. Daily caseload is approximately 7–8 patients. Acute care experience is preferred, as clinicians may float into the hospital if outpatient census is low. Medical-based PT experience (not school-based) is required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year pediatric PT experience (mandatory)
• California PT license and current BLS certification
• Independent proficiency with assessments and outpatient services
• Familiarity with PDMS-2 assessment tool preferred
