Medical-Surgical Telemetry – Night Shift RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position on its medical-surgical telemetry unit. You'll care for adult patients with a range of diagnoses including cardiac events, post-surgical recovery, renal failure, orthopedic trauma, and neurological conditions.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Night, 3×12-hour (18:30–07:00)
• Schedule: 36/36 block schedule
• Weekends: Every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Float Required: Yes, to other units as needed
• Call: None

Patient Care

• Daily census: 12–23 adult patients
• Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, IV management, central line care, chest tube and surgical drain management, blood product administration, post-hemodialysis monitoring, and wound care.
• You'll actively support clinical education and nursing student development alongside direct patient care.

Requirements

• 2+ years of medical-telemetry experience
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Current RN or LPN license
• Must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area
• Must pass Relias basic EKG test within 72 hours of offer acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required

Orientation

• Begins on Sunday with online modules
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation included
• First-time travelers welcome
