Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care on the medical-surgical unit. You'll work with an acute care patient population, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. This role includes supervisory responsibilities — you'll guide and direct nursing staff while collaborating across disciplines to ensure safe, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data; develop and implement individualized care plans
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team in a safe, healing environment
- Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning
- Delegate appropriately and manage care coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Current RN license (state of practice)
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- PALS certification (preferred for initial contract; required if extending)
Schedule & Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Hours: 36 hours/week with weekend rotation
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 4, 2026
- Uniform: Navy blue scrubs
