Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join a dynamic team. You'll assess patients rapidly and accurately as they enter the emergency care system, identify priorities, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes. You'll provide both direct and indirect patient care while coordinating with physicians, advanced practitioners, and other clinical disciplines.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Occasional on-call during low-census periods (respond within one hour if called in)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract

Key Requirements

• Current RN license
• Ability to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test during your first week of assignment—this is mandatory to work in the Emergency Department
• You will be expected to self-study telemetry strips before your start date

Standard Onboarding Requirements

• Immunizations (Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap)
• TB test, fit test, and health statement
• Background check and education verification
• Drug screening

You'll work in a fast-paced emergency setting managing patients across all acuity levels. Your strong assessment and triaging skills are essential, as is your ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
