PACU Travel Nurse – Sioux City, IA
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PACU nurse to join the post-anesthesia care unit on 12-hour day shifts. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced recovery environment, supporting patients through their immediate post-operative period.
Shift Details
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (start times may vary between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every third weekend on-call (12 or 24 hours; potentially 2–4 nights weekly)
- 13-week contract
- Orientation: October 26, 2026
Clinical Scope
- Primary PACU duties with potential float to ICU once weekly (ICU patients managed by ICU-assigned staff; you'll serve as a resource)
- May float to same discipline across local campuses as needed
- First-time travelers welcome
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of PACU nursing experience
- Active Iowa RN license (state or compact; verified via Nursys)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
- Completed Skills Checklist specific to PACU
- Supervisory Reference Form (dated within two years)
- Valid Driver's License
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
