Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist – Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist to perform and assist with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations in the interventional cardiovascular lab. You'll operate sophisticated diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs during cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures, supporting physicians in both diagnostic evaluation and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment in the cardiovascular lab to produce high-quality radiographic images
- Position and immobilize patients using appropriate protocols and safety equipment
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout examinations
- Mentor and train staff on technical skills
- Contribute to hiring and promotion decisions for the department
Required Qualifications
- Current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in California
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Fluoroscopy certification
- Completion of training in Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB), TEAM, or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Minimum two years recent experience in radiologic technology or special procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Three+ years technical experience
- Special Procedures Technologist background
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology
Schedule & Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (variable shifts also available: 7 AM–5:30 PM, 8 AM–6:30 PM, 9 AM–7:30 PM)
- On-call: Every other weekend plus 2 weeknights per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Location: Montebello, CA
