Labor & Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
About the Role
The facility seeks an experienced RN to join its Labor & Delivery unit on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll deliver coordinated nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor pregnant and postpartum patients, recognizing and responding to clinical changes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans using the nursing process.
- Provide fetal heart monitoring and support during labor and delivery.
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Coordinate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise and delegate to nursing staff appropriately.
- Participate in a safe, healing environment for patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California.
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification.
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification.
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification.
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Position Details
- Schedule: 36 or 48-hour shifts, nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Duration: 13-week contract.
- Float Requirements: Floating to nearby facilities as needed.
- Start Date: October 26, 2026.
- Holiday RTO: Not approved.
