Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic Technologist – Cath Lab
The Role
You'll perform and assist with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations in a busy interventional cardiovascular lab. Operating sophisticated diagnostic imaging equipment, you'll produce contrast-enhanced radiographs to support physicians in real-time diagnostic evaluation and treatment during cardiac catheterization procedures. You'll position and immobilize patients, assist with specialized interventional procedures, and maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care.
This role includes mentoring and training staff on technical skills, plus input into hiring and promotion decisions.
Schedule & Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (variable scheduling; hours may include 7 AM–5:30 PM, 8 AM–6:30 PM, or 9 AM–7:30 PM)
- Call: After-hours and every other weekend, plus 2 weeknights per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Requirements
- Current radiologic technology (RT) license for your state of practice
- Current BLS certification
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or equivalent (TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI)
- ARRT certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in radiologic technology or special procedures
- Associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
