Night Shift RN – Med/Surg
Position Overview
Join the facility's medical/surgical nursing team on a 13-week contract. You'll deliver coordinated nursing care to med/surg patients while supervising and directing nursing staff activities. This role emphasizes critical thinking, patient safety, and collaboration across the care team.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Night shift
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop and implement care plans aligned with established nursing standards
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, healing care environments
- Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and manage team duties
- Provide patient and family education
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
