Cardiac & Vascular Radiographic Technologist
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Duration: 13 weeks | Location: Los Angeles, CA
About the Role
You'll perform and assist with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations in a busy cardiovascular lab. This role involves active interventional procedures using sophisticated imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs and support physicians during cardiac catheterizations and specialized procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality digital images of the heart and cardiovascular system
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures, positioning and immobilizing patients per protocol
- Perform specialized cardiac and vascular studies as ordered
- Train and mentor technical staff on specialized skills
- Provide input on hiring and promotion decisions
Requirements
- License/Certification: Current state Radiologic Technologist (RT) license and ARRT certification required
- Additional Certifications: Current BLS, Fluoroscopy (FLUORO), Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS), and Violent Behavior Management training (PVMB, TEAM, or CPI)
- Experience: At least 2 years recent experience in cardiac/vascular imaging or interventional radiology; 3+ years technical experience preferred
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's in radiologic technology preferred
Schedule & Call
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Call: Every other weekend plus 2 weeknights per week
- Flexible day shift options available (7 AM–5:30 PM, 8 AM–6:30 PM, 9 AM–7:30 PM)
