O.R. Staff Nurse – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility's Surgical Services Department seeks an experienced O.R. Staff Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients across all age groups. You'll supervise and coordinate care planning with interdisciplinary teams while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
- On-call duties required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent O.R. or perioperative nursing experience
- BLS certification (initial and biennial renewal)
- ACLS certification (initial within 6 months of employment; biennial renewal)
- PALS certification (initial within 6 months; biennial renewal)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Preferred Qualifications
- CNOR, PANAC, or AAOPU certification
Clinical Environment
You'll work in an operating room setting, delivering care to surgical patients and participating actively in the surgical team. The role involves exposure to blood and body fluids; strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality protocols is required.
