Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technician
Position Overview
The facility's cardiac catheterization lab is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician to join a busy team performing advanced cardiac interventions. This is a day shift role working 4×10-hour days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with 6–8 days per month scheduled, including occasional weekends.
Clinical Scope
You'll work across three procedure rooms and one dedicated electrophysiology lab, assisting with:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
- Structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman)
- Peripheral vascular angiography and intervention
- EP ablations and device implants
Typical caseload is 3 cases per room.
Required Qualifications
- Active California license
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience with demonstrated structural heart expertise (non-negotiable)
- BLS, ARRT, and Fluoroscopy Permit certifications
- Proficiency with scrub procedures, C-arm operation, fluoroscopy, PACS, stent placement, and peripheral vascular access
Pre-Start Requirements
- Advanced EKG exam (20 questions, 17 rhythm strips, 3 general questions; 80% passing score required)
- Completion of required modules before start date
- References and all certifications must be submitted with application
