PACU Nurse – Cedar Rapids, IA
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PACU nurse for a 13-week contract assignment.Shift & Schedule
- Days, Monday–Friday
- 8-hour shifts with flexible start times between 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
- 40 hours/week
- Every-other-weekend coverage as needed
- Holiday rotation required: 1–2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays
Clinical Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage post-operative patients in recovery
- Administer and titrate drips; interpret and measure telemetry
- Provide pediatric post-anesthesia care
- Support smooth patient transitions from OR to inpatient units
Required Qualifications
- Current Iowa RN license (or compact/multistate)
- Minimum 24 months recent PACU/post-anesthesia care experience
- Current/recent pediatric care experience
- Strong telemetry reading and measurement skills
- Drips and titration experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) — all active and current
- Professional reference from supervisor/manager within past 24 months

- Contract Start: October 19, 2026
- Orientation dates: 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2 (earlier starts prioritized)
- Must be located at least 50 miles from the facility
