RN – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care for medical-surgical patients. You will supervise and direct nursing staff activities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and utilize critical thinking to assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend rotation required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- PALS certification (preferred for initial contract; must be obtained if extending)
- BSN preferred
Essential Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze patient health data; develop and implement care plans
- Supervise and coordinate care delivery with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with patients, families, and providers in safe, compassionate care environments
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and perform additional duties as assigned
Unit Details
Work in a medical-surgical setting caring for acute care patients. Solid color scrubs required.
