Pediatric Respiratory Therapist – 12-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. You'll provide respiratory support to critically ill infants and children across multiple high-acuity settings.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 3×12 hours (07:00–19:30)
- 12-week contract
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Float assignments to affiliated pediatric and neonatal care centers
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in PEDS, PICU, NICU, or high-acuity pediatric respiratory care
- Active Ohio RRT license
- NBRC certification (active)
- BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS (all active and current)
- Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from past 12 months)
Clinical Scope
You'll manage respiratory care for critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients in NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings, including mechanical ventilation, airway management, and specialized respiratory interventions.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Active certifications must be in hand at submission
- Negative 10-panel drug screen + nicotine test (within 12 months of start)
- Two background fingerprint clearances (one onsite, one through agency); BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Nicotine-free requirement (no exceptions)
- Complete work history and Cleveland Clinic employment records must be included in your profile
Extensions
You may extend up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows unless deferred by the facility.
