Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients. You'll work independently and may supervise others as delegated, managing patients across all phases of respiratory therapy in accordance with department policies and physician orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining accurate charts
• Perform arterial blood gas draws per policy and physician order
• Provide specialized care to ventilator patients, including intubation
• Perform drainage procedures and additional cardio-respiratory care
• Assist with department record-keeping, operations, and staff training
• Educate nursing personnel on patient surveillance and equipment operation
• Document all treatments and generate necessary records for charges

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications (NRP, ACLS, and PALS required at hire or within 90 days)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience, including NICU and pediatric experience
• Ability to intubate

Schedule

Night shift: 3 × 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Rotating weekends
