Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Labor & Delivery unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while coordinating with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional obstetric services. This is a night shift position in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 per week with rotating nights
- No call required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience
- BLS certification (current)
- ACLS certification (current)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (current)
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (current; required on hire)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the care team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Uphold professional nursing standards and hospital policies
- Participate in shared governance and team initiatives
About the Role
You'll work in a supportive obstetric environment focused on high-quality maternal and neonatal care. This position is represented by CNA and offers stability with no on-call requirements.
