Labor & Delivery RN — Templeton, CA
Night Shift | 13-Week Contract
This Labor & Delivery position operates within an LDRP model, supporting patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The unit follows a rotating night schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), with 36 guaranteed hours per week and no call requirements.
Shift Details
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Schedule: Rotating nights, 36 hours/week
- Contract: 13 weeks | Start: October 5, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active California RN license (or compact equivalent)
- BLS (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- ACLS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (required at hire for experienced L&D nurses)
- Nurses new to L&D will complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring during orientation, followed by AWHONN Advanced every two years thereafter
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
- LDRP model experience preferred
Clinical Scope
Nurses in this role assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care across the full labor and delivery continuum — including antepartum monitoring, intrapartum support, delivery, and immediate postpartum/newborn care. Strong fetal monitoring skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team are essential.
