Night Shift Registered Nurse – OB/GYN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its OB/GYN unit, working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 13-week contract. You'll deliver coordinated nursing care to obstetric and gynecologic patients, supervise assigned nursing staff, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and analyze health data to inform care decisions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with prescribed interventions
- Coordinate care delivery in a safe, healing environment
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families on health information and self-care
- Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
- Delegate tasks and manage nursing team activities
- Perform fetal heart monitoring and other OB-specific clinical functions
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- At least 2 years recent acute care experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC approved)
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- STABLE Certification
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
Schedule & Float
- 36 or 48-hour shifts per week
- Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Floating to other units as needed
