Cath Lab Technologist — Saint Helena, CA

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

A cardiovascular-focused facility in the heart of Napa Valley is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract. This is a hands-on, high-acuity role supporting a full range of cardiac and vascular procedures.

Schedule

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM start (shift end 3:30 or 4:30 PM)
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• On-call: 2 days per week; 1–2 weekends per month

Clinical Scope

You will assist cardiologists and radiologists with invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary procedures, including:

• Structural heart, vascular, and diagnostic cath cases
• Emergent cath, Impella, and ECMO support
• Administration of contrast media via catheter or direct injection
• Operation and troubleshooting of C-arms, angiographic injectors, and patient monitoring equipment

Additional responsibilities include monitoring and recording patient vital signs, maintaining sterile technique, enforcing radiation safety standards, and serving as a resource for complex procedural scenarios.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of cath lab experience, including scrubbing and monitoring
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification
• Valid Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in California
• Current California Fluoroscopy license (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
• BLS certification from an approved vendor
• Experience with electronic health record documentation

Preferred

• Associate's Degree or equivalent education/experience
• Prior catheterization lab experience (1+ year minimum preferred; 5+ strongly preferred)
