Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated, high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to manage acute and emergent patient presentations while supervising and directing nursing staff activities. This role requires clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36–48 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients, analyze clinical data, and develop individualized care plans
- Implement nursing interventions and coordinate care delivery across disciplines
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff at various levels
- Provide patient and family education and discharge planning support
- Evaluate patient progress and modify plans to achieve optimal outcomes
- Participate in a collaborative, safe, and healing care environment
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent emergency department or acute care experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
