ICU Travel Nurse — Night Shift | Simi Valley, CA | 13-Week Contract

A Southern California facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in the Intensive Care Unit. This is a night shift position running 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours), with the option for 48-hour weeks.

The Unit

The ICU manages complex, high-acuity patients requiring critical care nursing across the full spectrum of intensive interventions. Nurses are expected to exercise independent clinical judgment, supervise ancillary staff, and coordinate care across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Analyze clinical data to identify diagnoses and drive patient outcomes
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions in a high-acuity environment
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on health-related needs
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate the broader care team

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in California (or compact equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• BLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems required

Schedule Details

• Shift: Night, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 per week (48-hour weeks possible)
• Holidays: One holiday off may be approved; availability for the second holiday is expected
