Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the nursing team in a telemetry unit providing coordinated care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and high-level clinical oversight. You will supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver evidence-based care in a safe, healing environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
- 13-week contract
- Holiday time-off requests will not be approved
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and respond to patient assessment data
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Coordinate care delivery and delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Provide education to patients and families
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
